Dr. Kelly Brogan performed a very unique human feat; she changed her mind. She was trained as an MD and psychiatrist at prestigious institutions including Cornell and NYU. Upon completing her training and practicing psychiatry for some time, Dr. Brogan recognized the limitations and harms of standard psychiatric treatment. She has moved past relying on drug treatment to help people and went on to write the New York Times best seller, A Mind of Your Own: The Truth About Depression and How Women Can Heal Their Bodies to Reclaim Their Lives. Her new book is called Own Your Self, which we discuss in this conversation.
