The Devil went up to Bethlehem, he was looking for the Bros this week, he brought cans of beer, a surly sneer, and was listening for prose critiques, your two hosts met the Slanderer and offered up a cheers, 'cause when rating brews you pay your dues if you want any sort of career.
That's right listeners, this week we'll be talking about the Prince of Darkness, the Father of All Lies, the Author of all Sin, Dante. Er...that is, the Devil! We're rating Surly Brewing's "Give the Devil His Due" and discussing all manner of wicked fiends such as Count Chocula, Alice Cooper, and Prohibition laws. Paired with this beer is an excerpt from Dante's The Inferno, where we get one of the first descriptions of Satan in verse form. Of course we'll discuss some of the other people Dante meets in hell, including of course Harry Potter, but don't let me spoil all the surprises. Tune in, and as always, enjoy.
