This week’s special guest comes all the way from Verona, Italy! Salvatore Paiella, M.D., Ph.D. works at the General and Pancreatic Surgery Unit of the Pancreas Institute of the University of Verona, Italy. His research is mainly focused on: predisposition to pancreatic cancer (familial and/or genetic), oncological effects of ablation of pancreatic cancer, complications of pancreatic surgery (including those related to multidrug-resistant bacteria), and neuroendocrine tumors.

On this week’s episode, he and Dino discuss the potentially life-saving research that Dr. Paella is doing and the global landscape of pancreatic cancer research.
