Ezekiel Elliott - Officially holding out

It is official ladies and gentleman, Ezekiel Elliott is holing out and is training in Cabo. Zeke is holding out for a new deal with two years left on his contract. History with Dallas Cowboys runningbacks shows that Zeke will not get paid. Cowboys and specifically owner Jerry Jones don't have the best track record. They let DeMarco Murray walk in free agency, and although Zeke is a better back, it wouldn't be above Jones to do so.

Ezekiel Elliott is a dominant back on the field. He has led the league in rushing in two different years of his career. In his 40 career regular-season games, Zeke has 4028-yards and 28 touchdowns. Zeke feasts on every defense he plays against. Yes, he has run behind one of the best offensive lines in football, but Zeke dominates the run game. He has also done this in only three years. The only year he didn't lead the league in rushing was when he was suspended. Even in that year, Zeke ran for 983 yards and seven touchdowns.

In the playoff games that Ezekiel Elliot has played in (3), he has 309 yards and two touchdowns. On the field, he is a beast and contacts go way deeper than that. If he continues to dominate on the ground and potential returns to the team, a deal should get done. In my opinion (Kai'Chien Chisholm), both the Dallas Cowboys and Zeke need each other.

Josh Rosen - Bad in training camp

Miami Dolphins fan beware. Josh Rosen has been pretty bad in training camp thus far. What makes it worse for them is the realization that even their coaches are talking about the failure of their quarterback. Rosen was traded to the Dolphins during the NFL draft and has since been named several things. Hebrew Hammer, Savior, and from some fans a bust. He is currently the backup to Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Dolphins fans aren't liking it. A tweet that highlights this entirely can be found here. The tweet stated that Dolphins fans waited seven years for Ryan Tannehill to be something, but have thrown Rosen away after a week of camp.

Miami Dolphins fans, you should agree with that tweet. For seven years Dolphins fans rooted for Ryan Tannehill. He was a great guy off the field but not a great quarterback on it. Rosen is going through yet another offensive coordinator in his short year and has gone through a week of camp. The intangibles are there, and now everything for Rosen needs to come full circle.

The 'tank for Tua' fans must love this though. However, Miami Dolphins fans shouldn't expect to get the Alabama quarterback. It seems like the Cincinnati Bengals will lead that race this season. Here's to another amazing season of football!

Questions from the podcast team

Does Ezekiel Elliott deserve a new contract from the Dallas Cowboys? Should Miami Dolphins fans be upset with the Josh Rosen development?
