2003: President, Commercial Property Maintenance, Everett, WA. Increased annual revenues to more than $2.5M. Positioned two divisions for sale and rolled one division into sister company.
2005-2009: Independent Franchise Consultant, Lake Stevens, WA. Assisted clients with evaluation and investment in franchise businesses.
2009-2011: Vice President of Operations and Franchise Development, CMIT Solutions, Inc., Austin, TX. Responsible for the team that set franchise sales record in its first year.
2011: Director of Franchise Development, WIN Home Inspection, Huntsville, AL. Hired on a 12-month contract to rebuild their franchise development program.
2012: Independent Franchise Consultant, Traverse City, Ml. Assisted clients with evaluation and investment in franchise businesses.
2013-current: VP Franchise Development , Mr. Handyman, Ann Arbor, Ml. Expanding North America's largest handyman services franchise.

Co-founder of "The Giving JAR" Scholarship in memory of his father-a teacher and coach.
Fundraising and awarding scholarships to high school seniors attending college with the intent on becoming teachers and coaches. Contributing to the local SCORE chapter. Helping people learn about business ownership through franchising.

Married to Christine for 20 years. She is a Marketing Manager, wonderful wife and mother.
Son, James, 32, lives in Austin, estimator/sales role for a concrete leveling company. Daughter, Madison, 20, in her second year of college at Texas State University. Tom and Christine are licensed foster/adoptive parents.

Hobbies:
Getting together with our son, daughter in law and grandson as much as we can, golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, trail-bike riding, playing guitar, camping and visiting family and friends all over the country.

Prior to owning a Mr Handyman franchise, Brett spent over a decade in strategic sales and marketing in the telecommunications sector - specializing in digital acquisition and call center conversion. He also ran business development for an electronics recycling startup and even founded a beer tap handle manufacturing company. He lives in Dunwoody, GA with his wife and two young daughters. He's a proud graduate of The University of Alabama and enjoys skiing and fly fishing.
