In Psalm 62, David trusts in God in spite of those who wish to cast him down from the throne. God is David’s rock, and he waits on Him in expectation. In Psalm 63, David writes a psalm while he was hiding there on the run from the murderous King Saul. He remembers God and is satisfied, rejoicing even in Him. He knows his enemies will fall and their lies along with them, but he will be established as king by God as He promised.
