Matthew Series 46

In this message, the disciples wonder about the withering of the fig tree, and the Lord tells them that with faith they can have accomplished for them whatever they ask believing, even moving mountains into the sea. What did the Lord mean? Why does this not seem to work for anyone today? The Lord enters the temple and begins teaching, but he is confronted by the chief priests and elders of the people, which starts a showdown that lasts through chapter 23. They want to know where He gets His authority from, but He refuses to answer when they cannot tell Him where John got his authority from. He tells a parable of two sons; one who says he will not obey his father but does, and another who says he will obey his father but does not. This condemns these religious leaders, who say and do not.
