The "More Right" Riot

Study of Scripture: James 1:20; Matthew 5:20; Luke 12:1-7

Did you know that rioting the “More Right” way only happens when you know your value? 

Protests erupted all across America over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In today’s Bible study, Preacher Man Milo calls out America for her checkered past regarding racial injustice. He then addresses how our actions, born out of anger, produces the “unrighteousness” of rioting.  

Milo encourages everyone who is hurting to repurpose their pain by doing two things:
(1) Know your value 
(2) Rise above your anger 

Milo teaches these two points not from the perspective of judgment, but from the perspective of Jesus. The Biblical basis for this lesson centers around two of the teachings Jesus gave to his disciples, which are located at Matthew 5 and Luke 12.
