As Easter is approaching this week and we are preparing for all the fun family activities and gatherings, I wanted to set aside time to remember the true reason for the Easter season and the sacrifice Jesus made.

This week will be 7 days instead of the normal 4 because I wanted to read about Good Friday on Friday and the resurrection on Easter day.

Join me this week as we walk with Jesus to the cross. It was the first time I have done this before and it was humbling.

Day 7: The Resurrection

We have a new covenant and mission!

John 20:1-31, Matthew 28:16-20

ACTION STEPS:

Carve out 30 minutes every day this week to follow along with the Easter story. Listen to Prayers From a Mom Podcast this week Monday-Sunday as we walk with Jesus to the Cross and out of the grave.

FOCUSED PRAYER:

Father,

As I spend time this week reflecting on the sacrifice you made for me and my family, I pray my actions and attitude reflect how truly grateful I am. You made a way for us to not only spend eternity with you and each other, but you died so that we could have a life full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control here on this Earth while we are still living. I pray my life reflects the sacrifice you made. I pray that I can fully embrace the power of you living inside me each and every day so that when people encounter me, they feel your love and grace.

In Jesus' name, Amen!
