This episode shows the Stepmother and Stepdaughter relationship. Scarlett interviews Ryleigh as they reflect back to growing up in their Blended Family house. They discuss their relationship from the past to the present.

This week take time to ask God to show you things from your mom/daughter's perspective and how you can improve your relationships.

On a scale of 1-10 how do you rate your mother/daughter relationships?

Ask God these hard questions. Is there anything I do to cause division, hurt, or frustration?

What is causing me to act out or become triggered in these areas? What can I do to restore or improve our relationship?

I believe God will begin to show you things. He wants your family to be unified, experiencing peace and overflowing love.

But remember sometimes when we pray for things, situations surface and it may seem like a bad thing, but it's actually an opportunity to do things differently. Be expectant for the good that is coming.

FOCUSED PRAYER:

Father, I lift up my relationship with my mother and my daughter(s). Help us have a strong, healthy relationship lavished in love, peace, and unity. As your chosen people, you give me the ability to clothe myself in tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Help me to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. The psalms say my children are like arrows in my quiver. Equip me to send them out to bring influence and honor to your name. I want to live a life like Ruth, never turning my back on family, but always acting in love and forgiveness.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

SCRIPTURES TO PRAY THIS WEEK:

Colossians 3:12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

John 1:19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Psalms 127:3-5 Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward. Children born to a young couple will one day rise to protect and provide for their parents. Happy will be the couple who has many of them! A household full of children will not bring shame on your name but victory, when you face your enemies, for your offspring, will have influence and honor to prevail on your behalf!

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God."
