Whom are kids marry, make a huge impact on the life they live.
Join me this week as we pray for that person, whoever they are, wherever they are.
ACTION STEPS:
1) First thing you can do is talk to God about your kid's future spouse.
2) Then have age-appropriate open conversations with your kids about the type of characteristics they want in a future helpmate.
3) Lead by example when it comes to having healthy communication with others. Model how to express feelings, and how to be a good listener.
4) Listen to Prayers From a Mom Podcast this week Monday-Thursday as we begin praying over our kid's future spouse.
FOCUSED PRAYER:
Father,
I know you have someone picked out as a future spouse for my children, I pray my children wait on your timing to date and not out of desperation or loneliness. Help me raise a child that is secure in who they are and in their relationship with you so that they can walk into the relationship with the confidence of what they deserve. As my kid's future helpmate is growing up and maturing I pray they learn how to express their feelings and ask for help when they need it. Send people into their lives that lead them closer to you. Lord, I pray my marriage is a good example of what they are looking for.
