It's Go Time, Using God's Word- Week 7: Armor of God_Day 4

It's time to PRAY as if our kids' lives depended on it. Because they do!

 

Week 7 Sword of the Spirit

 

Day 4: We know what we need to do, but will we do it?

I'm going to read my journal entry from 10 years ago with some sad discoveries about how long and what it took to get me to change!

Proverbs 17:22

 

ACTION STEPS:

If you haven't already, look at your schedule and find time daily to read your bible. 

 

Put a reminder on your phone, write it in your planner, go to bed earlier, whatever you need to do, to make this a habit in your life. 

 

Begin to show up for yourself and your family every day, reading God's promises about whatever it is your family is needing. Write them down and say them out loud. That is how we fight the enemy and protect our kids.

FOCUSED PRAYER:

 

Father,

Thank you for leaving me with the sword of the spirit. Continue to remind me that I do not have to fight anyone. The fight belongs to you! You ask me to pick up my bible and speak your promises over my life and this world. God, it seems too simple, I feel like I need to do more. As I create this habit in my life, show me what actions you want me to take. I know it starts with me and my family, and after that we can change the world one encounter at a time. I will no longer sit back and let the enemy take hold of my emotions or hurt those that I love when I have the ability to attack first in prayer. 

In Jesus' name, amen!
