Many people, including me at times, tend to “compartmentalize” their faith into their lives. They see some kind of gap between the Sacred and the Spiritual. Like THIS part is God’s, and THIS part is just life.

Now God DOES separate certain things. Like the Sabbath. But that was for US, for OUR benefit. Left to ourselves we will work our way into an early grave. So He separates one day from the others as a day of rest. Some folks get that wrong. They think the Sabbath was separated as a day to worship Him. Problem? God wants our worship EVERY SINGLE DAY. The dichotomy of Saturday worship and Sunday worship is a FALSE dichotomy. You can go to church either way. The Sabbath is the Seventh Day - Saturday - BUT God didn’t tell us to go to church on the Sabbath. It was set apart for US to rest. The truth is God wants our worship EVERY DAY. Some choose to meet with others to worship congregationally on Sunday, some Saturday, some Wednesday nights… Doesn’t matter. We can worship whenever. Why? Because God never separated the Sacred from the Secular. The truth is God cares about every part of our lives every day and every hour of our lives.
