LUKE: YEAR OF OUR LORD (WEEK 8) - RESTORATION PROJECT

RESTORATION… Whychus Creek in Sisters - Government spending millions of dollars. First part of the restoration started back in 2016, and now they are starting on a new section called the Rimrock Ranch section. What’s going on? Why are we spending money on a restoration project? Well, because many years ago, WE sanitized it, we made it pretty. We made it flow “better” so that we could have more recreation activities… What’s the problem? That’s not what its purpose is. We are restoring to the way God created it; where fish can spawn and trees can grow, etc.

Today we are looking at three passages from Luke 5 that really represent the restoration project that Jesus came to accomplish. And again, like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the healings we will read about in Luke’s gospel (and there are a LOT of them) aren’t JUST about Jesus’ compassion for those who are sick or lame. There is a higher motivation, a more eternal representation of God’s redemptive plan for mankind, in other words, His Eternal Restoration Project.
