HIBICLENS® is approved for use to reduce bacteria that potentially can cause disease, for skin wound and general skin cleansing, as a surgical hand scrub, and as a healthcare personnel handwash.  It is an integral part of many hand hygiene and infection prevention protocols, but it is not approved as a standalone therapy to treat or prevent any specific infections.
