The Occupation: its legacy looms large over the entire Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series, with the scars of that brutal era still felt by Bajor years later. However, not much has been told about the start of the occupation; what was Bajor like before the Cardassians came? What drove Cardassia to commit the crimes of the occupation?
