Welcome to the first episode of That Episode Was… our new series of watercooler-style discussions this time focusing on FX-on-Hulu's Y: THE LAST MAN as it airs! This show is based on the 2002 classic comic book series from Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra and follows Yorick Brown, the last remaining human with a Y chromosome, after an apocalyptic event that wipes out all XY mammals leaving the entire population of XX's behind.

Our first episode actually covers the first two episodes “The Day Before” and “Would the World Be Kind.” The series stars Diane Lane, Ashley Romans, Olivia Thirlby, and Ben Schnetzer at the titular “Y."

Bringing their professional creative backgrounds to this lively and thoughtful examination, the co-hosts of POPSKL share their immediate reactions to this new world and its characters. They discuss the parallels with the source material and the differences, offering perspectives, hot takes, and recommendations. Opinions fly and spoilers abound so be sure to watch each episode completely and take thorough notes! Find us here when you’re ready to discuss and let us know what you thought The Episode Was...
