We're poised to resume our programming after a 'semi summer' break (actually no such thing for the self employed) and have many worthwhile interviews in store for you. On the Wednesday, August 29th broadcast at 12:30PM Pacific/3:30PM Eastern, we'll review headlines in the news and preview an upcoming 'deep dive' into the Pioneer Class of ACOs operating in California. These include many familiar faces, though branded ACO from the Group Health Association of America (GHAA) days (GHAA was predecessor organization to AHIP), when mainstream medicine met the HMO movement. We'll see if there are lessons to be gleaned from their experience and current courage to step forward and model accountable care absent the gatekeeper 'hammer'.
