Winona Ryder 101: Beetlejuice

This week, The Junkies take another in-depth look into one of beloved actor Winona Ryder’s most iconic roles by watching Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, which is one of Ryder’s first big roles, and started her on the path to be cinema’s iconic goth chick. While Hayley and Shauna were already big fans of the movie, this was Nicole’s first watch, and spoiler: she loved the combination of horror and comedy. But what’s not to like, when you have the surprisingly likeable Alec Baldwin, sweet Geena Davis, the irreverent Michael Keaton in one of his funniest (and favorite) roles, Catherine O’Hara out-Schitting her Moira Rose character, and of course, the “strange and unusual” genius of Winona and her fabulous bangs.
