Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are back for their first podcast of 2022. For their January TV podcast, the brothers are discussing Cory in the House, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Cory in the House is a sitcom created by Dennis Rinsler and Marc Warren. It premiered on Disney Channel on January 12, 2007. It ran for 34 episodes over two seasons, ending on September 12, 2008. The series is a spinoff of That’s So Raven.

The show follows a teenager named Cory Baxter (Kyle Massey), who has a penchant for absurd schemes. Cory moves to the White House after his father, Victor (Rondell Sheridan), becomes the President's chef. Cory’s best friends are Newt (Jason Dolley), son of the Chief Justice and a Senator, and Meena (Maiara Walsh), daughter of the Bahavian ambassador. Other characters include President Martinez (Joaquin D’Aquino) and his daughter, Sophie (Madison Pettis).

Since its short run, Cory in the House has become an Internet meme. Meme fans jokingly refer to it as an anime and have ironically praised its video game on Metacritic and Amazon.

Josh and Aaron look at the show’s premiere and go into its characters, comedy, and similarities to other Disney Channel series. They also discuss the Internet meme.

Cory in the House is available for purchase on AppleTV.
