Ann and Larry talk with Thoroughbred Trainer Kevin Attard, who discusses last weeks E.P. Taylor Stakes and one of his horses, Moira and whether he was disappointed with her third-place finish. Kevin also talks about what the future plans are for Moira  and also discusses today’s Cup and Saucer Stakes at Woodbine, where he happens to be saddling three horses and how it sometimes can be a difficult race to win for two-year-olds. Woodbine Entertainment’s Manager of Racing and Brand Content, Alanna Nolan, who discusses her involvement in the recent television coverage of the Canadian Triple Crown that saw her conducting some of her interviews  aboard a horse. Alanna also talks about her prior experience in sports broadcasting that included both hockey and football broadcasts  and also how she became part of the Woodbine Marketing staff over a year ago. Woodbine Mohawk Park‘s Racetrack Announcer Ken Middleton Jr., who is recovering from home after being involved in a serious training accident back in June. Ken also talks about whether there is a set date in place for him to return to the Mohawk Broadcast booth and mentions the work of the ‘Bill Galvin Racing Alliance’ and how they will be celebrating the workings of the initiative with a special race at Woodbine Mohawk Park tonight. In our feature, ‘In Case You Missed It’ A Look at The Way It Was in Horse Racing News, Larry discusses last Sunday’s Canadian International at Woodbine and how there was a special celebration that day, highlighting the 50th Anniversary of Secretariat’s famed win in the International. Larry also provides his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American Racetracks.

She is also asked to comment on whether there are any similarities between working in NHL hockey and the horse racing industry and talks about how she became so passionate about horses and in particular the horse racing industry. 

Ken talks about the serious Training accident he suffered in June and how it happened surprisingly with one of the quietest horses in his barn. He also mentions about his treatments since which saw him admitted to hospital twice and how he is feeling now. He also talks about his string of horses that he was training at the time and where they ended up and whether the doctors have given him any set date that he may be back in the Mohawk Announcer’s booth calling races. Ken also discusses a topic that is very close to him, the ‘Bill Galvin Racing Alliance’ and how some of the group members will be celebrating with a special race tonight at Woodbine Mohawk
