Today, Jim and  Larry  interview Woodbine Thoroughbred trainer Gail Cox, who discusses a horse by the name of Whimsical Dance, one of the last horses raced by the famed Sam Son Farms and how it was recently sold at a Kentucky auction sale, but has ended up back in her barn and will race again in 2023. Gail also talks about her background as a trainer and how she  originally was involved in equestrian which led to the introduction to Sam Son.; HBPA Ontario President Sue Leslie, who talks about the 2022 racing seasons at Woodbine and Fort Erie and what contributed to their success. Sue also discusses the HBPA’s role within the Thoroughbred industry and  what it meant to her personally to be elected into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.; Woodbine’s Senior Manager of Communication’s Mark McKelvie, who reflects back on some of the racing highlights this year at Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park and also what has contributed to the upsurge in betting handles this racing season. Mark  also gives the show a ‘scoop’  on a just announced special evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park next weekend. Larry also provides his ‘Ponies Picks of the Day’ selections for several North American racetracks today and in the show intro he talks about some recent horse racing news including tonights stakes filled card of racing at the Meadowlands that will see both Bulldog Hanover and the trotting mare Atlanta racing for the final time in their careers.
