1:30 - The Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade in landmark abortion decision that will bring the ability to regulate and prohibit abortions back to the states. This will effectively end recognition of a constitutional right to abortion and give individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether.

30:15 - The Supreme Court voted to expand gun rights allowing Americans to have a right to carry firearms in public for self-defense. This is the first major gun decision in more than a decade splitting the court 6-3, with the court’s conservatives in the majority and liberals in dissent. President Joe Biden signs a bipartisan bill to address gun violence into law marking the first major federal gun safety legislation in decades. The bill was passed with the support of 14 republicans in the House and 15 in the Senate.

38:15 - The Supreme Court ruled for GOP lawmakers in the voter ID case in an 8-1 decision giving them the ability to intervene in a federal case to defend the law. This does not end the dispute over the voter ID law, but it allows the NC legislature to intervene in a federal case to defend the law.

43:00 - European Union makes Ukraine a candidate for EU membership

45:30 - Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida overtakes Former President Donald Trump in a New Hampshire poll. DeSantis has been widely seen as the new front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination if Trump decides not to run.
