Listening to old colonials talk of empire and slavery it sounds quite shocking how they used to think of human beings as nothing more than beasts and animals not just natives but also the white workers ,,as my dear old father who is now 95 told me during his time in India just after the War the British Raj looked upon him as also a SLAVE OF EMPIRE.
