Possibly one of the most difficult times you will face. Losing a pet can be devastating. What can make it even harder is dealing with the people around you – who may or may not understand.

We talked with Reverend Amy Zehe about Unity of Sarasota’s Pet Loss and Support Group, Bentley’s House. She shared some insights about what to do when someone you are close to just doesn’t understand, and how you can help friends who are in the grieving process. Offering support and just being there to listen may be the best thing you can offer. You’ll hear a few stories and anecdotes about how other parent parents have navigated through this painful time. Like everyone else, Bentley’s House is adapting to our new normal of social distancing.
