On this week’s episode of FridgeCast we have NASCAR star Austin Theriault (@AustinTheriault). Austin drove for Brad Keselowski Racing and has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity & Camping World Truck Series.

Austin grew up in Maine, That’s on the US/Canadian border and started racing at the age of 13 on the local track Spud Speedway. Over the next few years, Austin was racing driving many years older than him and breaking records across tracks in the North East of the States. He then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, the heart of NASCAR land at the age of 18 to further his career into NASCAR’s top divisions.

In this energy filled chat with Austin, we talk about, what led to him to choose car racing as a career, and the sacrifices he has given up to follow his passion. Networking as an 18-year-old, and the plans and tactics he used to build relationships within the business NASCAR. What moving between 3 series of racing in 2014 taught him about focus and goals and how he looks at his major crash in 2015, and how he rebounded through late 2015 and into 2016.

Plus, we go inside the business of NASCAR, what it takes to go racing every weekend, and how sponsorship works and is changing within the sport.

Whether you are a NASCAR fan or not, this is one special interview, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
