Reeah and Jem, two people who know even less about the economy than they do about sport, attempt to explain how money works in the wizarding world. Why can't wizards solve their money problems with magic? Do the goblins control the economy, or do they just work at the bank? Why are the coins whimsical rather than functional? The answers to these questions (and many more) cannot be found in this episode, but we sure do talk about them for a truly unreasonable amount of time.

This episode also includes a short discussion of antisemitism in relation to the portrayal of goblins in the series.

Here's the link to the reddit post that Reeah used to figure out the real value of items in the series:  https://www.reddit.com/r/harrypotter/comments/43qv9c/lets_talk_wizard_money_a_look_through_everything/
