John is a product designer and software engineer as well as the creator of $ESSAY, the first community-owned essay, crowdfunded on Ethereum. He began his career at Snapchat before founding a startup that went through Y Combinator in 2018. Since then, John has worked as a designer and consultant for several startups and investors, including Mirror, Muze, a16z Crypto, and Y Combinator, where he helps out part-time with admissions.
