In a wide ranging discussion, Jonathan Foster and Omnia El Omrani talk about her role as the liaison between grassroots activists and COP 27 in her new role as the first ever President Envoy on Youth for the upcoming COP 27. They address the responsibility of the medical profession to translate the complexity of global and personal health into a comprehensible story and the direct link between the planetary health and individual health. And they discuss the challenging the fundamental values and principles that are the root causes our climate and health emergency and how Omnia imagines a future world.

Omnia El Omrani is the first ever President Envoy on Youth for the upcoming COP 27. She is also a Surgery Resident at Ain Shams University in Egypt. She served as the Liaison Officer for Public Health Issues for the IFMSA, leading its external work in Climate Change, Non-Communicable Diseases, and Mental Health. She is a Commissioner at the Lancet-Chatham House Commission on Improving Population Health Post-COVID and an associate at Women Leaders for Planetary Health.
