In this sermon we look at Jesus' 4th I AM statement and why He is considered as the Good Shepherd. We see how unlike other religious leaders and those in power, Christ alone willingly dies for the sheep. In addition, Christ as the good shepherd personally knows His sheep and gathers them to Himself. This is all in contrast to the underling who flees and abandons the sheep at the sight of trouble. Ultimately, Jesus as the Good Shepherd assures us that we as the sheep are in the hands of a shepherd that cares and will never abandon us.
