The Gospel of John | The Door of Life

As we come back to our study in the Gospel of John, we examine the third "I am" statement of Christ-- I am the door. Like the previous I am statements, we discover that this claim of Jesus also harkens back to Old Testament promises for God's people. This promise fulfilled in Christ grants believers protection from false teachers, provision for salvation and joyful pastures for all who find life in the Savior. In the end, we are reminded that Jesus is the only door that leads to an abundant life with the Father.
