Perhaps more than any election before the independent candidates are dominating nearly as much of the dialogue as the leaders of the two major parties.


The interest in the independent candidates lies in the position many of them take on the political spectrum with values that align with more moderate liberals with a stronger stance against issues like climate change.


These independents provide an option for voters frustrated with the state of both parties.


Should the independents prevail on election night, they could play a major role in who leads the country.
