The Coalition is undergoing a reckoning in the wake of the federal election, which could sweep up to 20 seats away from the Liberal party.


The Liberals are set to elect a new leader, with Peter Dutton all but certain to be the next opposition leader.


While the party is undergoing an internal tussle over its post-election direction, the Nationals are also set to vote on a new leader as it undergoes a bitter public debate over its future and its support for net zero by 2050.
