Now that it’s March, I’m really excited to celebrate Women’s History Month. I am extremely proud of what the work that women are doing in their homes, at their jobs, in their communities, and especially in their businesses.
Today I’m going to be talking about women in business: struggles they face, how they achieve, and how women can gain more equality in the workplace.
Men still make up 71% of all business ownership.
While the great divide in business ownership is narrowing, women have yet to achieve equality with their male counterparts. More often than not, female business owners are the only women in the room. I think it’s time to change that.

I am excited to announce the opening of C-Suite Elite, a coworking and business counseling center that we designed exclusively for women in business. This Friday we will be opening our doors to women in and around the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Over time we plan to open a true virtual offering, allowing women nationally and internationally to participate in our business counseling programs. My objective is to get women together working in the same spaces, strategizing, building business, forming partnerships, and collaborating with one another.
I am hoping women-owned businesses out there who are listening, are interested in coming together, to tear down the barriers of competition to work together to overcome their struggles.
