Research in Europe shows that in Europe over the past 10 years there’s a decreasing presence of club-trained players, and a stronger presence of foreign players at clubs. This can be the case with top clubs in Africa too, that they sign the best players rather than developing the players from their youth structures. We look at the reasons for this.
