Tomeka was diagnosed with cervical cancer at age 34. She has a 14 year old son and 13 and 9 year old daughters. She's from Brandon, Mississippi. She loves to decorate and helping others through community service.
Tomeka was diagnosed through the SEE TEST and TREAT program which provides women in need with free, cervical and breast cancer screening with same-day results. The program also provides women with the follow-up care they need if they receive a positive diagnosis, much like Tomeka did.
The See Test and Treat program is made possible through the philanthropic arm of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The CAP Foundation supports patient-centered and humanitarian initiatives striving to connect people in under served communities with the specialized skills of pathologists.
