Growing up, I often heard phrases and terms such as, "God don't like ugly!" "God's gonna get you!" The focus on who would ultimately decide one's punishment in life rested on God. Nowadays, believers and non-believers alike, add 'karma' to the equation of justice and remembrance.

But what exactly is karma? If we control our karma, does that control our actions in the present and the future? Is karma good? Is it bad? Do you need it? Can Christians synchronize the Eastern philosophical concept of karma with the righteous judgement of God? Does it really matter?
