Healthy after 40, History of Gin, Oilers Defensemen - PJ and Clay Experience – Episode 4

Timestamp: let's do it. April 17 2021 It's a Saturday. In the theme of 17 which just happens to be my favorite number, we've got 17 degrees out in beautiful sunny Edmonton. That is, to be followed by a forecast of four as a high moral and snowy. Of course, it's going to snow because that's what it does here.

The Hood / 40something -

“How is it we can get into living healthier over 40

I mean, isn't that a bit of the question that talks to a lot of us no matter what age we are really, when we talk about fitness, health, feeling healthy trends the billions of dollars in the fitness industry, telling us different diets different exercises, it's a, it's a crazy world and, and to be honest with you I will be confused about who to trust, who am I going to trust my body with Who am I going to trust such a confidential subject.”

We also cover; Parenting in Sports and Children in multi-sport or specializing in one.

Hospitality Gene -

“What I wanted to bring up real quick is I was reminiscing the other day when I went and got my gas.  I went and pumped my gas, and I was thinking back to the days where I had two buddies in high school that were gas attendants at full-service gas stations, and it's something that's gone away.  In talking about the hospitality gene talking about full service, remember the day where you would have somebody run out, fill your tank with gas, wash your windows, check your oil, making sure that everything is done right, and you're feeling comfortable and safe.  We haven't seen a full-service gas station in a very long time.”

Also, in this section, we discussed the situation developing with the lawsuit and the possible changes in the restaurant and pubs around our province pertaining to the practice of allowing people from different houses to sit at the same table.  We were blessed with the excellent advice that PJ delivers on how to BBQ the perfect steak.  We also got another history lesson and this time Clay talked about the History of Gin.

The Code -

“Last week we had the trade deadline in the NHL. PJ, why don't you layout for me, what we saw with the trade deadline.

Right. Well, I think that almost without a doubt the biggest trade that surprised me was the Nick Foligno to Toronto from Columbus, just that team is a pretty good team and then to stack it with another captain from another team, another guy that has some good hands can score some balls adds grit and experience great defensively.  Great in the room, like it's crazy, so I don't know what was going on in Columbus that Nick had to go. But Toronto got a lot stronger.”

We also Discussed the BCHL leavening the CJHL and what that means for the future and recruitment.   as well as the Oilers Defence with the acquisition of Dmitry Kulikov and the makeup going into the last week of the season.
