We speak to screenwriter, BAFTA member and former consultant psychiatrist Grace Ofori- Attah.

Grace read Medicine at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford and went on to work as a consultant psychiatrist in Camden and Islington before making the joyous jump into screenwriting for TV and film.

Grace has learned from the very best in the screen writing business - accepted into apprenticeships and schemes with Carnival Film & Television,  4Screenwriting, BBC and BAFTA . This year she presented the Special Achievement Award to her boss (at the Sky series 'The Long Run'), Idris Elba at the BAFTA TV Awards. She is currently developing a TV series for ITV based on her experience as a junior doctor.

We learn about her:

Journey from Consultant Psychiatrist towards her life long passion of writing. Following and managing the dreams of parents vs your own.
Grief and ongoing longing for a missing friend and what hope is like when closure is not available to you.
Frightening diagnosis at the age of 20 and what the patient experience gave her as a Doctor and, eventually, as an award winning screenwriter.
