On this episode, we are talking about not just one, but two pirate queens.  It’s tricky to talk about Anne Bonny without also mentioning Mary Read, so today, we’re going to learn about two women who went down in pirating history as some of the deadliest pirates.

Mary and Anne were two strong, independent women who made names for themselves by fiercely fighting alongside their male crewmates. They rose up in the world despite the odds being against them at a young age. They lived life on their own terms refusing to fit into the societal norms of their time.
