Lessons:
1. Although times of testing may come in the life of a Christian, we must keep our allegiance to Jesus both internally and publicly (Rev. 3:8,10).
2. Going through tough times as a Christian appears to be inevitable and Christians are to be ok with this, but Jesus can at times give relief of that testing and therefore we can pray to that end (Rev. 3:10, Matthew 6:13).
3. Different levels of God’s approval on genuine Christians do not exist, rather Jesus will be collectively proud of His overcoming followers in heaven (Mark 14:3-8, Rev. 3:9b,11,12).
