A. Although not flawless, his character is exemplary (see also Hebrews 13:7)
B. He is faithful to one woman only, his wife.
C. He is even-keeled in emotional stability, especially in disagreements or accusations.
D. He conveys wise objective judgment.
E. He merits respect from those who know him
F. His home is open and committed to hospitality.
G. He is able to handle the Word of God accurately in both teaching sound doctrine and refuting those who contradict it.
