Cheat Sheet:

Petard = bomb
Hoist a pilot = bad episode
Not hoist a pilot = good episode

Show Notes

Episode Intro and Announcements: Punching down on Eagle Point. Browncoats are real pissed at us.

Background: Drew and Mo watched it all. Jimbo watched an episode once, it was forgettable.

60 Sec Summary: Lindsey is having a hard time after witnessing her grandmother’s death. She starts to rebel in school and begins a friendship with some of the freaks, while her brother, Sam, one of the geeks, and his friends are having trouble with a bully Alan. A bunch of legit high school things happen, and the show ends at the homecoming dance with a happy ending for Lindsey and Sam.

High Points: the portrayal of HS and how it focuses on how resilient teenagers can be. The Geeks. Lindsey and misunderstood youth, has no one to talk to, Sam doesn’t get it. And Seth Rogen as a shitty dude.

Low Points: Daniel (James Franco) is annoying, Ken (Seth Rogen) was maybe worse. The opening was so corny! Grandma’s death might have been over the top.

Crabman Award: lots of talk, but split decision crabless pilot.

MVPs: Lindsey. The literary devices. The epic geek fight.

Dangling Threads of Interest: High school nostalgia with a piss story from each hoister. Eli.

Watch or Rewatch: Mo says she wants to, Drew and Jimbo will take their chances with something new.

To Hoist or Not to Hoist?: Unanimous not hoist.

Quest for the Best/Worst: Better than DC, not as good as FNL.

Petardar:

Bloodline
Superbad, by Mo and Jimbo
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Undeclared

Next Week: End of the Fucking World on netflix.

Plugs: Promo swap with Home Video Hustle. Artwork by Magician Kier Gomes. Pilots and Petards official closing music is an instrumental Entheos remix ofAlive. Intro, outro, and ad background music mixed by Jake Drew. Follow us on Twitter,Instagram, or join our facebook group.

Shop Talk: 1 Review and Mo needs to watch a few previous pilots for The Quest.
