Christus Health is a faith-based, not-for-profit, 60-hospital system across four states and three countries. They have developed a successful corporate wellness program called the Honeycomb Project that aims to address the unique needs of physicians to combat burnout and nurture their overall well-being.

To talk more about this interesting program is this week’s guest, Marisa Emmons MD. She is the Vice President of Physician Integration and Shared Services at Christus Trinity Clinic. Dr. Emmons discusses the variety of initiatives that the clinic has implemented to support the wellness of its physicians - from providing resources, recognizing their work, offering in-person and virtual activities, and a lot more.

This episode offers practical advice and data-driven insights to help other organizations create their own successful physician wellness programs.

“We said if we could create a clinic environment that our docs wanted to come work in, then we probably were making changes that meant that our staff was happier and that our patients wanted to come receive care there. So we knew if we could fix things for one group, we would be making it better for everyone.” - Marisa Emmons MD
