Clarise Nixon grew up all over the United States. A pastor’s daughter, she’s gained perspectives from many diverse congregations, but there were places where she felt like she couldn’t fully connect, culturally, with people around her. Today, Clarise is an English teacher who not only challenges students to learn, but think critically about their lives.
