The APEC summit has transformed the city of San Francisco, which is currently bustling with political and business leaders as well as protestors descending on downtown. But ten years ago today, the city came to a standstill for a different reason.


The Make-A-Wish Foundation, with the help of city officials, remade San Francisco into Gotham City for a day, all to help a five-year-old boy who was battling cancer. KCBS Radio news anchors Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising spoke to KCBS insider Phil Matier about that special day and how it came together.
