On today's episode I am delighted to introduce Dr. Carlene Link to the podcast. Carlene completed her undergraduate Bachelor's degree at Ohio's John Carroll University in 2004, received her PharmD from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 2008 and then completed her PGY-1 residency at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, Ohio. For the first 5 years of her career, she worked as an Internal Medicine clinical specialist and was very passionate about primary care. During this time became a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS). She then left direct patient care and moved into the business sector, working for an international drug information company for a further five years. She is currently a part time clinical pharmacist who works in the inpatient setting for a Level 1 Trauma hospital.

Today's episode focuses on working women! We dive deep about our personal journeys as female healthcare professionals, the perception of women and mothers in leadership, and working women with families! We share our thoughts about how we strive to be just as good in our jobs as we are as wives and mothers. We talk about the need to allow women more flexible roles in the workplace and how this aspect of pharmacy is (or isn't) evolving in the UK and the USA. This episode promotes the need to change self judgement that devoids us of happiness, feeling worthless and not belonging. It is defintely worth a listen!
