In today’s episode Elaine & Misha chat with wonderful Kerieva McCormick musician, choreographer and Artistic Director. They discuss Kerieva’s show The Typist and the subsequent fundraiser so she can release the album with internationally acclaimed musicians.
We discuss, history, creating work inn lockdown, politics and the things that inspire us.
Kerieva McCormick

Kerieva McCormick is a musician, choreographer and Artistic Director of Kam-Ri Dance Theatre.

Kam-Ri Dance Theatre exists to forge dynamic international creative partnerships and to make dance theatre work of the highest level. Kam-Ri reflects on borders, inter-cultural competence and exchange, working with artists of outstanding quality.
The company's launch project, The Typist, began as a durational research project. It became a Dance Theatre production with backing from Creative Scotland, Dance Base National Centre for Dance, and a range of partner theatre venues including the Arches, Glasgow and the Traverse, Edinburgh. The project continues in the form of a full-length soundtrack album, featuring musicians from Spain, Brazil and Scotland, due for release in 2020.

Our next project which will begin its research and development phase in Autumn 2020 will be announced soon...
