Then keep the conversation going after the Yam Jam with follow up.-Employees felt connected, like they were being listened to.-We are human first. We want to know some personal things about each other, about our leaders.-In medium sized to huge companies, there’s no way the leaders going to be able to have face-to-face with everybody, especially if you’re global. -Tools like Yammer give leaders a way to amplify their message and listen to what your employees have to say so that they know that they’ve been heard, it goes a long way toward employee engagement.-Employees want to do more, they want to see more, they want to share more. -And they want the leadership to share more as well.-Personal engagement through an online experience.-People don’t go to work to be fired.-Need a blend of business and personal.-Snowmagebon – horrible snow storm in Atlanta, GA - January/February 2014-When you get to know people better, you feel more responsibility toward them, you want to do more for them and with them. And we’re more understanding. We give each other more grace and patience. All of which are important to our work relationships.-All of Dawn’s customers are her favorite customers!-Cultural challenges-Technology challenges-Use cases and scenarios matched to business goals-Work out loud-Iterate and try again-It’s not the field of dreams, “turn it on and they will come.” No. It’s work.-When you recognize the work and do the work, the benefits are far more than they’ve ever been.
