Welcome to our last podcast episode in double digits. Damo Starts by shouting out the people who are a few weeks late on their New Year’s resolutions. It’s time to get it going. Damon and Damo take a moment to give Tisha her flowers in celebration of her hitting the year mark as a PTSF host. We have a conversation about understanding the fact that men and women speak two different languages and how that can affect decisions made in the workplace. This leads to a conversation about false reporting. Tisha discusses NAVADMIN 006/24, and the impact that it can have on the fleet. There’s a little confusion here. Word is, that people are working to make a few changes to this NAVADMIN. The trio discusses the biggest things that they would change if they could. Damo discusses YouTubers “standing on business.” Is there any reason why a First Class Petty Officer should ever go “cranking?” What are your thoughts of a Sailor being Meritoriously promoted right before they transfer from a ship? Damo asks if there should be a time limit for marriage proposals. Do women need back pockets? Chiefs, have you ever called a Sailor’s previous command to get information on the Sailor? An investigation of a suicide onboard USS Theodore (CVN-71) Roosevelt specifically calls out Chiefs for denying the Sailor mental health resources. A young Sailor, known for episodes of fainting, collapsed and fell overboard while working on his ship, leading to his death. Could something have been done to prevent this? Two Navy SEALS are currently lost at sea. We are praying and hoping for the best. These and more are covered in this episode of ‘Permission to Speak Freely’ podcast.
